Neonatal Resuscitation Course

Course Complete ✓

What do you do with a baby struggles to survive the first few seconds of life? Midwives and doctors were challenged with this question.

Their traditional interventions are being replaced with a more modern approach in how to intervene. The students were able to have hands-on practice using tiny neonatal mannequins. Thus, the Neonatal Resuscitation course.

The participants are the fortunate ones who fit into the 32% literacy rate of the country of Guinea. Still, ideas take time to sink in when things have been done a different way, passed down through generations.
Course graduates (sweaty me in front).

Upon completion, certificates were distributed, photos taken and as most of a cell phone (but not emails), selfies abound. I love the beautiful, friendly women.

Worship on the 8th deck.

Mango Season!
Acts 2 talks about sharing all things in common.  We do not share a common purse, but we do work, live, eat meals (and mangoes), play games together, attend church and drink coffee together.

A worship service brought to the eighth deck.

Women's Retreat Attendees

We represent over 30 countries working side-by-side. Quite an amazing testimony when many try to segregate the cultures. To me, this is a representation of the future kingdom of God.

Ending a stressful day may be with prayer. It may be with taking a shower and hitting the bunk with a good book or a PG rated movie available on-line to crew.

Dominoes!
Then there are times when it is good to just pull out a game from the cupboard and unwind.

No, we cannot have alcohol on the ship (I knew you were wondering).

Meanwhile back home, my (very much missed) husband, Guy has sent me these pictures:

If you are inclined to pray, then please look at the prayer request page.
If you are inclined to give a tax-deductible gift on my behalf, thank you for using the link on the upper left.

Thank you!
